Currently, the UD Marine business division is in a state of pause while an operational change is decided. This page will assist in deciding how best to meet new business requirements and to serve a customer base accustomed to parts service for the Peninsular Marine engine line. Please read the following text carefully before considering entering information into the application form available later on this page.

There are two paths that are currently being considered:
I  - Select an Exclusive Distributor
II - Accept an Asset Purchase offer

  Note: Application consideration is time limited until end of August 2022.


Option I: Exclusive Distributorship for the Peninsular Marine Platform.

This option has been placed as the first option because it offers the most flexibility and the fastest turnaround to resuming parts sales to the Peninsular Marine engine consumer base. This option has a few requirements already identified and there may be others not considered but can be negotiated.
  • USA Business Only - To perform exports and accept inventory shipments.
  • Looking for One Business to develop and maintain relationship with.
  • Distributor will Stock and Warehouse own Inventory for order fulfillment.
  • When UD's Existing Inventory depletes, then bulk ordering applies.
  • Distributor to utilize Unique Diesel as sole source for Peninsular Parts.
  • Limited Drop Shipping and Warehouse applies for specific custom items only.

  • Distributor Benefits and Resources.

    The primary benefit of the Distributor arrangement is that this keeps the existing supply chain in place and operational. Support options include technical assistance and training on the Peninsular plafform remotely. Distributor will be able to consult on problems encountered from both a technical aspect as well as business operations and how to be most profitable with the product. Distributor will have access to lease an extensive amount of product images/pictures of product for online store use. Additional product marketing support available for items not yet digitized and documented, or when items change. Resources also exist to forward web and phone traffic direct to Distributor. Should Distributor not have own website for online sales the option exists for an additional service fee to stand up an online store using our existing store template and descriptions into something of your own.

At the bottom of the form you will also find a required section "A Non-Disclosure Agreement is Required" which has options that must be selected to complete the form. Because of the sensitive nature of business a Non-Disclosure agreement will be sent to those who apply using the form. Once the agreement is signed and returned, we will be able to have discussions about the important parts of business.


    Option II: Asset purchase of the Peninsular Marine Platform.

    Unique Diesel is interested in selling the Peninsular Marine Platform to a capable and interested Marine business in the form of selling a business division's assets. This would allow complete control and ownership of the platform and is available to any Domestic (USA) or International (Non-USA) business.
  • Marine Inventory - Existing accounted for inventory marked Marine-Only.
  • Optional Marine/Auto Inventory - Inventory that applies to Auto & Marine.
  • Tooling - Casting Pattern Molds to produce proprietary casted parts.
  • Supplier and Foundry information for all known parts
  • Intellectual Property (IP): Blueprints & Technical Info
  • Intellectual Property (IP): Product Photography
  • Intellectual Property (IP): Peninsular Branding and Logos
  • Intellectual Property (IP): Product Parts Manuals

  • Optionally other items are available for purchase with the business division assets such as a fully-functional online store that can be re-branded and transferred for new owner, original Michigan Peninsular phone number to transfer, original Peninsular website domain names, copy of the electronic inventory management system used by UD, at least one example engine, and others available.

    Besides items to purchase, there are service resources to consider and optionally available should they be needed to assist new owner with setup and operation. Something to be negotiated for a year of support. These options could include product technical support on demand, assistance with online store rebrand, logistics support and setup, how to order and utilize your supply chain, and offer to source components through existing supply chain on a cost plus percentage agreement for suppliers inaccessible to new owner.
