New 6.5L Splayed Main Custom Long Block
Seeking something beyond an original stock long block engine? This product page is the answer to for anyone wanting improved durability for the 6.5L engine and additional performance handling capability. Durability and performance handling capability are closely related subjects with a new 6.5L Diesel engine. The first and required deviation from a stock engine is that this long block will feature the dramatic improvement of Splayed Main Caps. Splayed caps replace the 3 center main caps with stronger, wider caps, and bolt to a stronger place in the block adding strength to prevent main web cracking.
This splayed custom long block solution
provides a tremendous amount of improvement in rigidity on top of many
improvements made by GEP that greatly improved upon the GM
variants. This is the first time this has been offered for new engines in an OE quality package, that starts out with the current production 6.5L engine from GEP.

Custom Long Block Assembly
This custom long block will take the components configured on this product page and include them in an assembly. Depending on selection a brand new (typically in stock) long block assembly will be disassembled for its parts towards your custom engine. The long block will be assembled using clean processes, and careful measurements will be made of components by checking their specifications. Replacement consumable parts such as gaskets, bearings, and torque to yield fasteners will be replaced with new original components, no aftermarket parts will be utilized unless specified by product option. Adjustments where necessary are made to provide the most ideal assembly for use. While the factory that originally assembles long blocks does a great job we are capable of improving upon that process because more time per unit can be spent than on an assembly line.

About long block customization options
Consider this product an evolving product whereby options based on identified needs and customer requests are added to the assembly where possible. We will make updates to this section of the product description when changes are made. The updates will be based on adding durability and long-term reliability go the engine, some known modifications, even common modifications to engines do not meet this criteria and will not be available. We will try and describe those areas as time permits.

Warranty
Warranty coverage of engines is limited to engines that come with a fuel
and cooling system that have been test run. If warranty coverage is a criteria for purchase, please inquire about running versions of this same engine. This product page does not
feature running engine options, so these
new long blocks carry no warranty which is the same for the OE stock long blocks for similar reasons. Although the origin of the base long block is known this manufacturer specifies that no warranty can be offered, which is obvious considering this is a modified version of the original engine design.

shipments outside of the USA, but will ship to your USA located freight
forwarder using the rates provided. Please source a capable Freight
Forwarder in the USA that we can ship to, they can then ship to your
country. Take note of the engine preparation requirement for export
engines where the forwarder uses Air Freight.
Shipping will be performed in a secure shipping crate.
Ordering to Ship timing...
This is a Build To Order (BTO) Product with a specified lead time At Receipt Order (ARO) to shipping timing as indicated in the Availability section of the product. We are currently working on shortening the lead time to produce these engines by processing components before they are ordered. When comparing this engine and its options to other custom engine builders, compare the lead time between those builders. Lead time may be dependent on options needed to complete an order. Please inquire about lead time depending on the engine variant needed and options for the build. Currently we are prepared and tooled up to produce a fixed number of these splayed units per year, advise securing your unit to secure your place in line.
